Many schools are either canceling or switching to virtual learning days on Friday as Hurricane Helene’s remnants approach the area.
This covers Kentucky’s largest district, JCPS, as well as over 40 additional school districts.
Early Friday morning, the region should expect heavy rain and strong gusts.
Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are possible, as is flash flooding.
