According to Pennsylvania State Police, a young child in Fulton County nearly died from organ failure as a result of suspected serious child abuse.

Anyssa Wright, 30, and Anthony Green, 29, both of McConnellsburg, are facing various counts after a 4-year-old boy was hospitalized for three weeks in August with “near fatal” injuries, according to State Police allegations.

Authorities also accuse the parents of neglecting to promptly seek medical attention for their child. Doctors informed Troopers during a child-near-fatality evaluation on Sept. 16 that some of the boy’s injuries occurred days before his hospital admission.
