Donald Trump continues to escalate his rhetoric against immigrants.
In a strongly-worded statement on Truth Social, the Republican presidential nominee expressed his concerns about immigration, equating it to “the destruction of America.” He made a firm commitment to take decisive action if elected, vowing to halt “migrant flights” to Pennsylvania without delay and ensure that individuals who are deemed not to belong will be promptly returned to their home countries.
“It takes centuries to develop the distinct identity of each state. However, a reckless migration policy has the potential to rapidly and permanently alter it. We have witnessed this transformation in cities such as London, Paris, and Minneapolis,” Trump expressed in a tweet on Tuesday, seemingly equating international capital cities with states. He further added, “If Kamala Harris emerges victorious in this election, Pennsylvania cities and towns will be inundated with illegal migrants from various parts of the world, ultimately erasing the essence of what Pennsylvania represents.”
“When I become president, I will immediately halt all migrant flights to Pennsylvania as soon as I am sworn into office,” he declared. “Those individuals who do not have legal status will be returned to their home countries. We are determined to put an end to the influx of migrants into small towns in Pennsylvania and to stop the destruction of America.”
President Trump has issued his second warning this week, following a baseless conspiracy he concocted with his vice presidential pick J.D. Vance. The conspiracy falsely accused Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, of eating pets. Despite numerous city officials, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, and even Vance himself stating unequivocally that the conspiracy is false, the city has been inundated with bomb threats. As a result, the city has been forced to evacuate and temporarily close several schools, colleges, festivals, and a significant portion of its government facilities.
During an interview with Sharyl Attkisson from Full Measure, Trump suggested the idea of assigning noncitizens “serial numbers” as a means for mass deportations. This concept brings to mind the haunting image of identification numbers forcibly tattooed on concentration camp prisoners. Additionally, Trump expressed his belief that the United States, despite being founded and historically known as a nation of immigrants, should not become a “dumping ground” for newcomers. He further proposed that reducing media coverage of border issues and implementing his deportation programs could facilitate the implementation of his controversial plans.
According to Trump, when a young woman with two beautiful children is put on a bus and it becomes headline news, it becomes much more difficult. He believes that if one wrong person is put on a bus or airplane, the radical left will exaggerate the situation and make it seem like a catastrophic event.
