Two lucky lottery players in Virginia may have a million-dollar hole in their pockets without even realizing it after winning big on Mega Millions tickets.
Tickets worth a seven-figure reward were sold for Tuesday’s drawing at the Beulah BP Mart in Chesterfield and Kroger in the 9300 block of Atlee Road in Mechanicsville, but none have been claimed.
The winning numbers for the drawing on Tuesday, Sept. 24 were: 01 – 06 – 10 – 23 – 27 with a Mega Ball of 18 .
The million-dollar issue now revolves around who holds the golden tickets, each of which came within one number, the Mega Ball number, of winning the projected $62 million jackpot.
The winners now have 180 days to claim their $1,000,000 prize, as the jackpot continues to roll ahead of the next drawing on Friday, September 27.
“Virginia Lottery advises that before doing anything else, the winners should immediately sign the back of their tickets to establish ownership,” according to officials. “When they are ready to claim the million-dollar prizes, they should contact the Virginia Lottery.”
