Our Staff

 Danny Beeck (Duquesne Football Lead)

Danny is a student currently enrolled at California University of Pennsylvania, studying Communication Studies with a concentration in Radio/TV. Danny is a sports junkie, and roots for mostly New York teams (Mets, Giants, Knicks). Being that he goes to school in Southwestern PA, he is slowly but surely becoming a Penguins fan, so he has that going for him. After graduating college, Danny hopes to either continue his education or work in New York as a sports journalist.

John Bosko (Podcast host and columnist)

John Bosko, a Yinzer by nature, doesn’t miss a Steelers game any Sunday. With strong opinions and a Pittsburgh background, John brings an array of opinions to the Pittsburgh Sports Castle’s podcast and columnist sections.

Brad Britvich has been a lifelong Pittsburgh Penguins fans, and now he’s taking his writing talents to Pittsburgh Sports Castle. Britvich is a senior at California University of Pennsylvania, where he is studying journalism. Joe Cinello Joe Cinello (Owner, Co-Editor & Pirates Lead)

Joe, who currently studies at CCAC-South and is a prospective journalism student at the University of Pittsburgh, has Pittsburgh black and gold running through his veins. Despite the turmoil and sustained years of losing down at PNC, his loyalty to the Pirates never fades. Claim to fame: He’s been in attendance at every postseason baseball game held at PNC Park (despite the lack thereof). Catch Joe on the Pirates beat — perhaps dabbling in some Pitt Panthers athletics from time to time.

Cody Flavell (Pitt Basketball Lead, Golf Lead, Columnist)

Cody is a huge Pittsburgh sports fan who signed on to cover the University of Pittsburgh Basketball and Golf beats mainly. He plans to cover all of the major sports teams as well, and also is a columnist. Fun Fact: Cody has been a part of the biggest crowd in PNC Park history, Heinz Field history (for a Steelers game) and went to game five of the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals (we all know how many people were in and outside of PPG Paints Arena for that one).
