According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is facing a four-game suspension by the NFL for violating it’s Substance Abuse Policy.
According to Graziano’s ESPN counterpart Adam Schefter the ban is the result of a missed drug test. That makes him the second Steelers player to be facing a ban in the NFL, as Martavis Bryant is facing a year-long ban for abusing the policy.
Bell missed the first four games of the Steelers season last year for violating the policy. He came back, but was sidelined again after six games with a knee injury. Taking over for Bell in the first four games and in the final games of the season (not counting the last playoff game) was backup DeAngelo Williams.
It’s looking like Williams will have to lead the running backs once again.
The Steelers organization has yet to release a statement about the incident.
