Earlier today, rumblings surfaced that the Pirates reached out to left-handed bullpen arm Xavier Cedeno’s agent, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Rob Biertempfel.
Left-handed bullpen help is one of #Pirates offseason wish list. They've contacted agent for LH Xavier Cedeno, who last week was non-tendered by Rays.

Cedeno, 31, who was set to see an increase in pay via arbitration, was non-tendered by the Tampa Bay Rays Friday night.
The southpaw, who missed the majority of 2017 because of forearm issues, is a serviceable bullpen piece, which is high on the Pirates offseason to-do list.
Since 2014, in 97.1 innings, Cedeno amassed a 3.33 ERA, 93 H, 10 HR, 31 BB, 95 K and a 1.27 WHIP, not too shabby for a team in need of lefty bullpen help.
After starting last season with an abundance of left-handed options in their bullpen — Antonio Bastardo, Wade LeBlanc, Felipe Rivero and Tony Watson — only Rivero, Pittsburgh’s closer, remains on the 40-man roster.
If signed to a deal, Cedeno joins two lefties — Jack Leathersich and Nik Turney — as arms currently on the 40-man vying for an Opening Day roster spot when the team heads north for Detroit.
