Duquesne faces off against Kennesaw State on Homecoming weekend

This weekend, the Duquesne Dukes will open their doors to Kennesaw State as they ready their teams for homecoming weekend.

Duquesne is coming off of a 34-20 convincing win against Dayton, a team that started off quick at Rooney Field this past week. The Dukes shut the Dayton Flyers out in the second half, while scoring 19 points and getting their second win this season.

Kennesaw State is in the heart of their second season as a FCS team and is looking to make a statement against an out-of-conference opponent in Duquesne. Defeating NAIA Point University and losing to East Tennessee State is how their season is unfolding thus far, so the game against the Dukes is a “show-me-game” for the Owls.

Being their first road game of the season, Kennesaw State will have to match up against the Dukes talented wide outs and the running game to match.

Duquesne is looking to continue their success on the ground this week, as A.J. Hines will be suiting up for the fourth game of his young career. Quarterback Dillon Buechel will continue to find his reliable targets, in Wayne Capers and Blair Roberts.

The defense will also play a big part with 2016 Preseason All-NEC LB Christian Kuntz and Nathan Stone lining up against the Owls, Duquesne will be ready for the balanced offense that KSU lines up in.

Duquesne and Kennesaw State will begin play at 1:05 p.m. at Rooney field and will live-stream on ESPN3.
