Shalene Hixon

Shalene has been a sports fan all her life, so she decided to make that her career path. She is currently a senior at California University of Pennsylvania majoring in Sport Management and minoring in Communication Studies. After her May 2018 graduation, Shalene hopes to work in Pittsburgh for a sports team in their social media or media relations department. She has been a staff writer for the California Times student-run newspaper, writing about various topics such as sports, music, movies, entertainment and opinions. She is a huge hockey fan, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins which she covers as a beat writer here for PSC. Besides hockey, Shalene is also a huge fan of wrestling, and will be covering the WWE as a lead writer for PSC as well.
